Ishidaki is the ancient Japanese practice of placing weights on a bound prisoner's thighs while they knelt on a ridged board. My version is meant for very short term use only. Even a brief try leaves satisfying ridges.
My Ishidaki board is made of solid Canadian Maple, with Wenge feet. It is finished with varathane and intended as a show piece that you can be proud to place anywhere in your home.
